View Full Version : Spring Tarring Jon 11-03-2008, 12:52 PM How much should be applied to the spring? I've read that too much isn't good, but how much is too much? njphil 11-03-2008, 06:39 PM Here is a pic with a little to much I believe 40 Jon 11-03-2008, 06:43 PM Hmmm...now I'm thinking I put too little. This is my "tarred" spring: njphil 11-03-2008, 06:47 PM 42 When I took apart my Diana 350's they were dry, almost did not even get my hand dirty. craigfperry 11-03-2008, 06:48 PM yea Jon a little more then that but not much more. if you want to get crazy put tar on the tophat on the spring guide and on the inside of the piston. and keep the spring the way it is. njphil 11-03-2008, 06:49 PM But I am no professional:nod: Jon 11-03-2008, 06:50 PM Okay cool - this gives me a good idea now. I didn't want to put too much at first and thought maybe a little less would be better than over doing it. Now all I did was rub the tar on the spring back and forth with my hands. Do you actually work some of the tar in between the springs too, or would it kinda work its way in as you fire it? craigfperry 11-03-2008, 06:52 PM the choke the chiken action is how i do it. njphil 11-03-2008, 06:53 PM I read somewere, just on the out side of the spring is all you need. Jon 11-03-2008, 07:03 PM ok... craigfperry 11-03-2008, 07:13 PM yup, that's it. RCnMo 11-03-2008, 07:31 PM You guys are killin' me:p s1me 11-04-2008, 07:03 AM yeah, the perfect action:laugh: |
