After a frustrating 45 minutes with the Storm XT (untuned and stock scope, but with GRT III trigger and Leapers one-piece scope mount), my groups are starting to tighten up just a little. Toward the end of the session, I was getting nickel sized groups of five shots at 20-25 yards using Premier Hollow Points. I think the gun is still breaking in, as am I after not shooting for so long. Also got a P17. Wow, is this thing easy to shoot. I was hitting tin cans at 30 yards 80-90% of the time. The trigger started to catch just enough not to fully reengage, so I dremmeled it a little and oiled it - seems fine now. I bought a 10 pack each of piston and breach seals for $2 each at Lowe's and a packet of silicone grease at Pep Boys for 99 cents and took it apart to relubricate it and see how it worked. Neat design - nice of Marksman to create a cheap clone of the P3. All in all, a nice afternoon. -VT Robin A 07-02-2009, 09:27 PM  Sometimes we just had a bad day Robin. :D :thumb: A bad day? A bad day is when I don't get to shoot.Lot's of them lately............Robin Smackey54 12-15-2011, 04:46 PM Here's one that I found useful for analysis (right handed shooters) Slavia 12-18-2011, 10:38 AM It should be noted that the Lee chart is for handguns. It also works for left-handed shooters if you flip the chart horizontally (right swapped for left but top and bottom stay the same). |
