I never had many questions about pellets till getting this Rws 48 in .22 cal. Noticed that the heavy Crow Mags hit higher than all my other pellets, that seems wierd to me. This is at only 25 yards to the target.
Just trying to understand what makes a pellet "best" for a gun. There are a few that group good but at a higher impact point, and others that are lighter and group good but lower. Is a good high group a better match for the gun than a good low group? Or does how high they impact mean nothing to the pellet being "best". thanks.....

Perhaps this can help you understand the relationship why a heavier pellet will give you a higher P.O.I. instead of the "common" idea that a heavier pellet should shoot low due to gravity pull.

ST thats neat alot of good info there. Gives a person the whole picture in relation to spring forceing air and how much force is in play along with whole gun movement, from start to finish.
Thumbs!!!!
