i haven't been braggin on the 2260 cause i just got it the other day.
i like it for the wife, she has little arms and i think she will like it.
i ordered an AB steel breech kit so when i do that i'll do the transfer port mod, and if that goes well i'll do the valve.

I started the same way and did the transfer port mod first. Be careful with the barrel's transfer port; I buggered my first one up (using a hand drill). If you have a drill press you should be fine. Once I got that to size, I then cut off a length of icemaker tubing just slightly longer (slid it over a dowel and turned it with a razor on a drill), then hand fitted it to length. I fitted it so it gave slight pressure against the barrel when installed. That mod alone helped a lot - it provided a better than factory seal.
