Looks great Paul. I don't know how you can make the time to tune rifles and make custom parts and still be sane. Man, when I have more than one project going at once, I start to lose it. Keep up the good work!

I haven't tigged much brass Paul, but I have noticed that different alloys of aluminum seem to dirty up whereas others don't. Could be the alloy filler he's using..?

well the kid brazes huge propellers all day using torch and 3/8 dia rod..i see now small shit aint his bag.i should have given it to the tig man to start with..now that ive calmed down i can see clearer..its my fault.the kid did his best with what he had.
but DAMN i wanna get this thing finished so i can move on.lol

My dad and I discussed building a foundry a few days ago out of a propane tank. Thinking about trying some sand casting in the future. This might be up your alley if you're building a bunch of these things.

Paul:
just a somewhat related question....is there some sort of brush on or spray on bronze finish that looks decent and holds up? My reason is that Rich in Mich overhauled my 1250 and used a bronze end piece for the barrel shroud. He then sent me a bronze spacer to replace the white one on the butt of the gun. So, I just want a bronze colored trigger as a final touch that ties the two ends together. And, no, I won't buy a GRT from Bob on principle. I have one that I have never used and won't use since I learned the story behind it.
