every time i look at that mill turning i say..what a waste of energy put it to work..i think i can mount one of those old timie bike light gennies up there somewhere and at least charge my cell phone.any thoughts?

That's a great idea. Heck, any small permanent magnet motor will produce some D.C. power when you spin it. You may have to gear it and add a battery somewhere in the circuit. With a stiff enough wind, you could start selling power back to the electric company.:p
yeps a battery in the circuit is needed as is a gizmo to let the over charge escape to maybe ...the dirt or it will just charge the battery to extreme.
sat out just now and had a smoke break and it came to me..to keep from have it over cahrge the battery i can use a simple 12 volt light bulb...since i need a cigg lighter receptical to hook the cell charger up to...and i physicaly/manually have to go out there and plug it in..i can wire a bulb up to another male cigg adapter and plug it in when not using the cell rig.the bulb will eat the over flow.:rockon:
