do these fit tight in your breach also, in my remington vantage, the domed top of the pellet seats tightly in
the breach and can then be seated al the way into the breach with thumb pressure, is this normal or just a
good indication of what you want to have happen, the crosman premier HP's are the same way also, i should also mention i put a 6x6 block of solid ice in my yard and put a magnum to it and i heard a crack and the block split in half so i dont think it affects the velocity much, give me your 2 cents

The Crossman 10.5 are the tightest pellets in my Discovery and !377c Crosman pistol. They are also the best grouping. My barrels are run of the mill standard Crosman -- not 'choked' or 'match chamber' so the fatter pellets work really well.

I'm going to be trying the 10.5 CPs out very soon.
So far, the best shooting pellets in my new Cometa are the JSB heavies... which also happen to be the tightest fitting and most consistantly fitting pellets I've tried.
I don't want to be "stuck" with one brand of pellet, so I'm looking forward to trying the CPs.

I also want to try the H&N Barracuda Match 10.65s and unless they are the same exact pellet (which I think they might be) the Beeman Kodiak Match 10.65s.

Any one else here have a gun that really likes both the CP and JSB heavies? This might be a good indication that I'm on the right track.

I think they are very good in my 177 Disco, but need to start a inspecting the ones I use for 40 yards and over- get some flyer's (could be me). CHP's shoot even better in my 177 Marauder , .5-1.0" at 50yards, maybe because of the choked barrel, better trigger helps too.. The price is fair, I just sprung for a tin of H&N Barracuda's ($13 USD). Have yet to shoot them.

They shoot great out of my 177 Cal Disco & Marauder. My 22 cal Disco likes the RWS pointed pellets and my 22 cal Marauder likes the Beeman 18.2 gr crowmag. Strange how that works out. Like Powder burners in handguns and long guns like what they like as well too.I guess to each their own.
Thumbs!!!!!

Had a chance to shoot outdoors today... between snow, rain and wind storms.
Chrony'd the CP UM .177s at an average of 870 fps for a 10 shot string. This was out of my Fusion at about 4ft from the muzzle.

Been awhile since I shot outdoors... man, that thing is quiet! Makes a little "thub" kinda noise, not much louder than a "heated conversation".

Cheers,

They group the best in my Disco and QB78.

i just got a tin of them. they are giving me one hole groups from my Legacy. the only thing is those one hole groups are about a quarter inch to the right of the bullseye, when crosman destroyers, gamo match, gamo hunters, and jsb predators all give 1 hole groups directly on the bullseye. This is all at 10 yds btw. anyhow theyre great pellets and should (with some minor adjustments to the scope) hold up better and hit harder over long ranges than lighter ones. they'll just have a more arched trajectory and less velocity.

H&N makes all the Beeman pellets except the black coated ones which are Chicom made.
