My wife is going to hang me by my sack. I just ordered a RWS 34 Panther in .177. I've been pondering one for awhile now. I haven't heard anything but good about this rifle. Thanks Paul for pushing me down the slide:lol: I will post some target pics when I get it. I plan on giving it a deburr and lube tune right away. Damn, I feel like a dog that just pissed on the carpet.
I'm seriously considering one as well. Let us know how you like it. Did you order the riser mount for it, or are you just going to shim it/straighten the barrel yourself?

I plan on just using the iron sights until I come up with the money for glass. I'll probably end up getting a one piece with no droop compensation and going with that. If it's too far out of whack, I'll try to take a few thou off the breech face to straighten it out. I've read where, on several occasions, that people have installed the drooper mount and it over compensated. I'd like to nip the problem in the bud instead of fixing a problem with a problem just to fix a problem if you know what I mean.

Addictive isn't it? I can't believe I'm passing my powder burners for b.b. guns.

addictive is right, you can't really tinker with powder burners like you can A/G's.
that's what i dig the most.

I shot a friend's BSA Lightening XL. VERY NICE RIFLE. It still wasn't as slick as the G1 that Paul had tuned for him, but it was definitely a superior rifle. The woodwork was beautiful. The balance was perfect, the lock up was nice and tight. He didn't turn any screws on the trigger, but I could tell that it could be lightened. It had about a 3lb trigger pull with two distinct stages. The firing cycle was very quick. I believe you get what you pay for in most cases. If I could justify one, I would have one. The barrel was only about 10 inches long and the rest was a bull shroud. It didn't seem to quiet things down much, but it sure was sexy.:thumb:

If you guys keep buyin' PCP's, I'm just going to have to give up the airguns. I don't want to be lured to the Dark Side. I'd have a hard time dumping 600 bucks into a 10/22, let alone some beautiful air rifle. I've had the itchy finger on a Talon about a half dozen times, a Disco about a dozen times. I ended up with a QB 78 running on CO2. I don't regret it one bit either. I'll almost bet your 2260 is inching you over to the PCP side isn't it? Those 'non springers' seem to have that effect. No pumping, no cocking, no recoil and accurate as hell. Craig, I'm not bashing PCP's at all. I'm afraid to get one because if they're anything like the rest of my collection, they'd be like potato chips. You just can't have one. It's funny how, in my case, I started with a 20 dollar B2 and find myself looking at 600-1000 dollar rifles that I'd still have to buy tanks and pumps for. Crazy addiction isn't it?
