I bought a Tasco 6-24x40 a few weeks back to use on my Diana 36 for the match, it worked great for about 200 rounds. was shooting today and about 4 shots into a second attempt at a 200 the scope crapped out, made everthing look like a Salvador Dali painting and the AO was not adjustable any more.......
This scope didn't claim to be AG rated, and now I know for sure, it's not. I'm gonna send it in with the $10 for shipping and see what happens I'll keep you posted.

Sorry to hear that, Lampy. Hope they will refund you your money and buy yourself a stronger one.

Lampy - Here's an article on scopes you may find interesting. Although it was written with powder burners scopes there are a few things we should be thinking about for our airgun scopes, especially with the recoil we get from our springers. Basically it says scopes are not ment to last "forever" and regardless of the warranty, they will eventually have problems. Here's the link: http://www.chuckhawks.com/scope_death.htm

This link is to more scope articles than you ever thought could be written: http://www.chuckhawks.com/index2i.scopes_optics.htm

Finally got around to calling Bushnell about my Tasco scope, after being on hold for quite a while I finally talked to a person and she said go ahead and send it in and not to worry about the return shipping, they would cover it since the scope was only 1 month old. Now it's the waiting game to see if they fix it...... Glad I ordered the Leapers, it should be here Monday :thumb:

check out the much admired Bushnell Legend 5-15x40AO Mill dot at Natchez for about $134. Bushnell is phasing out the Legends and upgrading the Trophys to replace them. Fully coated optics and 91% light transmission and springer rated. Bought one and will try for a second after the 1st. Jap glass and assembled in the Phillipines. Lots of folks on the yellow swear by them. I need good glass to see well up here in AK due to the low angle of the sun much of the year.

Thanks Ray, I have one Bushnell scope, a 3-9x32 I picked up a few years back for my 10-22 I've been using it on my Diana, and what a difference. Of course I am comparing it to scopes that cost $20 to $40. When I first got into AG's I thought it was going to be good "cheap" fun but like everything else there is always a bigger, better and more expensive model, part or upgrade that a guy just has to have....
