of powder handguns. Or at least that's how some describe buying a polymer gun. I've always been partial to my 1911s, but have a tough time carrying them on person comfortably. I spent the last few months shopping around for a sub compact .45 and eventually found the Taurus PT145 (was gonna go with the Springfield XD). Polymer is one thing, but I never was a fan of Taurus, however a few friends who've fired and/or own this pistol have nothing but good things to say about it (2nd and 3rd generation models). Reviewers of the gun also had lots of positive comments so I figured I'd give it a try. Plus, Taurus's lifetime unconditional warranty added to the appeal...
