I have a Crosman 1377 and I was looking into getting some heavy pellets for it. But I don't have any experience with pellets. I've only used Crosman hunting pellets. Does anyone know of any heavy pellets that work well with the Crosman 1377? Is there any pellet weight that is too heavy or too light for a 1377?

Many thanks,
HunterT

Given the relatively low velocity of that particular gun you may want to stick with something 9 grains or below, but Air Arms, JSB or Beeman/H+N make 8+gn pellets. Check out Pyramyd's selection

I,ve shot up to the 10.5 ultra mag. in mine.None will hurt the pistol any if that is your concern? Best to just find The most acc. an stick with it for paper an even hunting.Mine like's an across the board selection at 6 pump's, but it get's CPHP's mainly used in it.

My modded 1377 carbine shoots really well with most pellets except for the daisy pointed. 10.5 & 7.9 cp shoots at same POI with 10 pumps = 706fps(7.9) & with 20 pumps = 829 fps(7.9). In actuality with any pellets, you just have to find the pump and distance it will shoot as aimed. For paper punching at 10 mtrs with gamo match I can use 4 easy pumps for 502fps and it will do single hole on 5 shot groups.

Not to deter from the original topic, but is this the same gun sold at Walmart? The one there doesn't say 1377 anywhere on it

I bought my 1377 from amazon.com, So I wouldn't know.
So, weight isn't that big a big deal when selecting pellets for your 1377?

I emailed Crosman shortly after I got mine to ask what the difference is between the PC77 and the 1377, The response I reciieved " the only difference between the 1377 and the PC77 is the packaging"

HunterT,No it's not important in a pump up gun.The most important thing is to hit the target each time(critter or paper),If you find a couple it like's then do some testing for penatration if your going to hunt with it,if not hunting just paper, choice the best shooting/cheapest one an let the paper target's have it.
