how's it going.

It's going great,found this forum while searching and watched awhile.I like it here.I live in Pace,Fl.Retired Navy,sorta new to good airguns.I had a old Crossman now a Gamo CFX.I followed all the advice given here and installed a GRT III just now.Will shoot tomorrow.Anyone in the Mobile-Fort Walton area on this forum?

I work at NAS,the Blues hangar.Where's the best place around here for selection,pellets,guns,etc.?Where do you shoot?

There isn't a huge selection around here. If I want crosmans and gamo pellets, I usually get them at Academy on Davis. In Daphne there's a new Bass Pro Shop there with a decent selection of pellets, but their rifles are a little on the high side. I've only been there once but will make it a point to drop in there for pellets when I'm that area. I shoot at home mostly indoors and sometimes out the back yard where I have about 30 yards to play with.

I think I may be the only grown man in SOUTH Florida that shoots pellets guns......maybe I should move North, I mention our hobby to people around here and they kind of look at you funny and say Pellet guns??

All my friends acted the same way when I first got into the hobby. We're all powder gun fans, but one day I decided I needed an air rifle to rid me of some rats. That's when I got hooked. They still laugh when I mention it but as soon as I get them shooting I know they're gonna get hooked too...

I bought a RWS 34 for my son(he's 37) for Christmas,big mistake to go shopping for a gun for someone else.He's waiting for it impatiently.He lives in Ma.and has a "turkey problem".I'm going up on the 26th to help him out..............Robin
