Well i've been using CPHP (crossman Premier hollow points) out of my big cat 1200... and i've been told that i'm lucky if i'm getting 950 fps.... i want to know what kind of pellet would be the best to shoot out of it, but i dont want to Sacrifice accuracy or flat shooting, cause right now i have my scope sighted in for 35 yards and i'm shooting the same at 50 yards, the thing is that i dont trust the hollow points if i shot for the shoulder

yeah the picture kinda sucks but there are 8 shots within that grey area which is 1 inch each way... at 35 yards

cphp are 7.9 grains right.
at 950 fps that pellet is a bit light.
i would try a heavier pellet,

Craig, are you pretty sure on the weight of the CPHP (7.9)? I have no idea, it doesn't say on the package or the tin. I'm happy with the groups I'm getting with them but would like to try some others to see what happens. Maybe a little heavier pellet but i don't want to waste money not knowing how much CPHP's weigh.

I just saw your offer on the sample pack on another thread, I'll take that sample pack if you don't mind. PM me your address and I'll send you a 10 spot.

I stopped in to Bass Pro this afternoon to pick up some Predators and a couple others but the shelf looks like somebody picked over everything pretty good since Thanksgiving all they had was some PBA, some crush up tins of RWS, and a couple different kinds of Gamo pellets nothing else.

I better stay away from anything 10gr or above, per Bob's spec./recommendations.

Thanks Craig............

Todd

On my paperwork it says S3650, it doesn't say anything about what spring was used but I know a spring is part of the tune so I assume it is either a S3650 spring or he put "S" in front of 3650 just to indicate spring......I don't know. It's listed like this on the paper>>> S3650 TT GRT

whatever you think is fine but I guess 8 to 9 is all I need to try, I have tried these pellets only, CPHP, RWS Superdome 8.3, and RWS Meisterkuglen 8.2

preds are a little light at 8.2, but it's worth a try.
if it was me i would be shootin 9gr or so.
send me ten bucks and i'll send you a sample of pellets, then you will have a better idea of what works without spending a ton on pellets like i had to do.
