This just tees me off that you hafta buy a 1250 count box of 7.9 round nose premiers, but cant get a 250 or 500 tin of them

But you can get both when it comes to the big heavy 10.5 round nose premiers...tin or box

Anybody else wanna be pi**ed off with me? :thumb::thumb::thumb:

You know, I never realized that until you pointed that out.

And you know what else? That really tees me off too! I mean, where do they get off not offering that pellet in tins? Is there something oh, so special about domed premier lights that make them too good for tins? This is an outrage! I say we burn something down! 500-at-a-time, tin-loving, round nose-shooting air gunners of the world: unite! This shall not stand!

[took my pills]

I checked the Cabelas brand pellets for you, because they're just re-badged Crosmans, but they only have the hollowpoints, wadcutters and superpoints.

Like you, I have the Crosman 10.5 heavy domes, which I love/love/love. But I've been told they aren't good for the long term health of my springer.

Hopefully some one will respond to your post over at the pellet exchange.

You know what grinds my gears? That the .22 version is only 625 a box, for the same price as the 1250 .177. That's $0.036784 a pellet. The 500 count tin of the same pellet is $0.01798 per pellet, they just didn't come from the same die. Why not offer up a box of 1250 .22 for close to the same price?

All companies have a method to their madness an the weeny is usually intended for the customer in most instances.......

Interesting. I did a google search and could not find anyone in the US that sells Crosman Accupells. Found some in the UK and NZ, but not here...

The boxes are supposedly all from the same die and same manufacturing lot, whereas the tins could be a mix of different dies and different runs, the way I understand it. I've never weighed and measured, so I have no idea how consistent they are.

The only AG that shoots the boxed premiers well is my G1 Extreme. Others milage appears to be better <shrugs>.

Heres what crosman sent me this morning. This is almost unbelieveable IMO

Ron -

At one time there was a smaller container of the 7.9 grain Field Target Premier pellets offered that did not sell as well as the larger quantity box. The smaller container was discontinued as a result.

Thank you for contacting Crosman Corporation.

Regards,

Cameron

So CP hollowpoints, wadcutters and super points all sell well enough in tins of 500 but the CP domes do not? That's hard to believe. I mean, I'd think Crosman would have a harder time selling 500-ct tins of the 10.5 grain domes than 500-ct tins of the 7.9 grain domes.

And apparently 7.9 domes in quantities of 500 sell just fine in New Zealand.

Even if there really is something to the economics of this, it only makes sense up to the point where Crosman actually expects their customer to buy 1250 of a pellet they've never tried before.

Imagine if Cameron from Crosman had added to his response:

"They're great pellets, but if you're hesitant to buy a whole box because they might not work well in your gun, we'd be happy to send you a couple dozen to try out."

Then again, imagine Santa Claus is real and the White Sox winning the World Series.

Major, that would have been a nice offer of crosman, but I'll bet Cameron is a lady sitting at a corporate desk somewhere far from where the people that still care about their customers are.

I would have even bought a tin full if they would have offered it on a one time basis. This is a good lesson in how to start your business on a downhill slide.

Nowdays the corp biz motto is "Screw the customer,Get the buck"

Actually, an e-mail campaign might not be a bad idea -- just remember that you get more flies with honey that with vinigar... Then again, you get the most flies with :bull:

I can see where that might have happened, the RN Premiers used to be the field target pellet of choice meaning all forms of accuracy were needed in a pellet. But why would containers of 500 not sell? And why don't the HP's come in boxes of 1250? And why does Crosman not make anything other than 7.4, 7.9, and 10.5 grain .177 ammo, and nothing other than 14.3 in .22? In all the ammo that counts anyway, lightweight alloy pellets can all go catch a hot one

Never did hear anymore back from cameron after the second letter I sent. I imagine that camneron/crosman just blew us off, as they have plenty of other customers that walk the company line an don't say anything.........
