But it's quieter than many airguns I've used. I keep these around for my 10/22 with an 18" barrel in case I need to dispatch larger critters. My G1 is louder than these things. The only thing is they don't cycle so you have to manually pull the bolt back after each shot, but they're sooooo cool and fun to shoot!

Muzzle velocity: 710 fps
Muzzle energy: 32 ft. lbs.
Around $8.50 for 100 rounds at Midway

I also tried these at one point, but they don't work for me as well as the CCI CBs do. My 10/22 doesn't like these ones but these ones are mouse fart quiet in a standard rifle (they don't use any powder - only a primer charge).

Muzzle Velocity:500 fps
Muzzle Energy:11 ft lbs
$2.89 for a box of 50 at Midway

Interesting. Never heard of these. I have a Remington tube feeder in my closet collecting dust. Might just have to buy a box of these to try them out.

These are the ones that I use Jon.

I didn't know about the CCI's that you have, but my stash is about 8 years old !

I keep the Federals for the real dangerous critters, or the real tasty ones'

I'm gonna order me some of those CCI's and try them out !

Thanks for the information !

The Aguila's shoot best out of a short barrel like revolver/pistol or real short bolt rifle,I shoot them in my basement some but the eley primer mix really smell's funny very fast(I can smell it even on open range),Now the CB's are real fun, just kind of hard to find anymore,I use them in a old remington target master single shot(no louder than a pellet gun).BUT if you want too go to the other end of .22's try Aguila's" 60gr" sub sonic sniper round, use a heavy rifled barrel an they are acc. & just plain knock the stuffing out of critter's!!!Bill ya got same round's as Jon just older box (ya need to burn more powder Bro.)an Wrecktangle none will work in a semi auto.

Drifter, but I can manually pull the bolt back to eject the spent round and load another into the breech right? I realize they don't have the pressure to cycle the bolt automatically.

I could never get them to feed right, short's are just too short:nod: for most semi gun's & the aguila's small bullet(20gr's)an it's short pointy profile keep it from working in mine(I only tried one gun which was a tube feed)But in my bolt's(mag feeder's) they feed O.K.,but the longer barrel really drained off any power they have(just a eley primer mix in them)I do use them in a semi auto target .22(so so on feeding when I'm working the slide)now in my old mod.36 S&W revolver they shine for fun:rockon:!!! I just reread your post Bro. an if you where asking if you can stuff them in chamber each time,YEAH,I have to thick of finger's for that an way to many other toy's,But you woukd be better off with the CB,s just for the speed in longer gun's,noise is much higher. an it IS a firearm:nod: so no in city limit shooting RIGHT!?!?

Duuuhhh,I looked at pic.'s those are CB long's?Sorry guy's I was picturing CB's in reg. length(real short) so Wreacktangle yep those" should" work just fine(I should of looked better)aguila's in long barrel still to slow & will not feed well.

I contacted the website that I order ammo for my powder burners from.

My question to them:
Have you folks ever considered carrying .22 rimfire CB ammo? It's a sub-sonic round, usually no gunpowder, shoots very quietly at about 750 fps. I've been looking for this ammo, and it's very difficult to find. I'm told that CCI manufactures this ammo. thanks!

Their response:
We have taken your suggestion and have ordered this ammunition! Please check back in a week or so and it will be available on our website!
I hope this helps!
Thank You,
Heidi

wreacktangle I just want to let you know that the aguila's" colibri"(spanish for humming bird)is the 20gr. no powder(primer only)made in mexico .22 we where talking about, very low noise(they make a full line of .22 ammo ).The CCI is a U.S. made round that cover's a wide range of .22's also. But the CB's use powder in them an come in size from a .22 short(most common) to a .22 long rifle version(kind of new to me,I've not used them) of the shell(difference of case length)make sure you get CB LONG RIFLE so you can manually work action an get them to feed right, the CB's are low noise but still go BANG when fired.

Thanks Drifter. I wasn't aware of the difference, thinking all CB types were created equal (other than the obvious differences in short, long and long rifles).

luckygunner.com got the CCI CB's in. I ordered 5 boxes of 100 each. With any luck FedEx may deliver it on Saturday.

They only ordered 10 boxes from their supplier, I'm thinking they want to see how well they sell before they keep any kind of stock. $9.50/box each or $9.25 each for 3 boxes. Order 10 boxes and it's only $9.00.

With shipping 5 boxes cost me $58.45.

A little more than they are here in ohio, but I can just get them at store's or gun shop's/gun show's.They do not allow that in maryland do they?Did you get the long rifle or short's.The report with them will be no louder than say a heavy air gun shot, you will have a ball with them!!!Maybe should of ordered some reg. .22's while you were at it for your gun,you can NEVER have enough ammo on hand LOL.

They're being shipped from Ohio... lol.

I've never seen them sold here, but then I've never looked. We don't have a wealth of gunshops here in MD, thanks to the bleeding heart liberals that we elect to our legislature. I could really go on and on about our restrictions here, but at least not as bad as D.C., New York or New Jersey. We have a few gun shows here, but they're few and far between.

I got the Longs, they should do okay in my Remington Speedmaster 552 (that's about 30 years old). I realize I may have to feed them one at a time or at least manually crank the bolt. I don't have any places to shoot nearby, that's why I'm shooting pellets in my backyard. I've got a .22 rated bullet trap so I should be okay.

I've got a ton of ammo for my handguns and enough pellets to last me a little while. Though I'm thinking about ordering some more.. like you say... ya' can never have enough ammo.

Thanks for your help Drifter, I appreciate it.

Hell Bro. if no one's house is TO close:nod: drop one in feed tube see if it cycle's into chamber an pop it out the back door into the ground(or phone book) at worst they will think you lit a firecracker(really should not be even close to that loud):thumb:,Just be semi safe:lol:, an any time about gun's just holler out.

Got my CB's Saturday. Cleaned up the old Remington semi-auto and ran 20 rounds thru it. About the same "crack" as a CO2 pistol. The round hitting my pellet trap was louder than the gun. I had to manually recycle the bolt (but then I knew I'd have to do that).

It's a nice round for backyard plinking. I'm going to keep a supply of these things on hand.
