Nice forum you have here. I will enjoy reading . I picked up a Daisy Powerline 880S yesterday. We have a possum that keeps eating the cat food in the early evening just about dark. It comes right up on the patio. I had a 880 years ago. I remember it shot pretty well and straight. I picked this one up at Wally world(Walmart) for $44.97. it came with a free 4X15 Daisy scope. I setup in the back yard today to check it out. It seems like it will get the job done. We'll see:nod:. Anyway, here is some data for anyone thinking about getting one of these. 1st, I base this on this AirGun only. Your mileage may vary. Here is what I saw today. This airgun is accurate to 11yds.(33-36ft.) iron sights. At 40ft. accuracy suffers a little. I would not depend on this airgun accuracy after that. The scope is pretty worthless. Don't waste your time. Trust me. Here is some chrono info. I find that Daisy .177 "Precision Max" Pointed Pointue shoot the best for this airgun. All shots were 10 pumps. I sighted the scope in after the 1st ten shots. As you can see in pics, It started out tight on the left top target, but as I moved to the bottom target, shots started drifting. When I moved to the groundhog you can how it spread. I realize this is a combo airgun and that the rifling suffers some. That is why things change around 36ft. it seems. Groups are tighter with iron sight at this distance.

I chrono'd for effect not speed. Meaning I set the chrono closer to the target. Test distance - 36ft. to target, chrono 5ft. from target. Ten shot string.
