just figured i would say a few words about this awesome gun. For 300 bucks it really cannot be beaten. the accuracy is very much acceptable for hunting and offhand practice. And the power of this thing is undeniable, in fact, the lead free pellets the gun came with even break the sound barrier... in .22!... making the gun sound just like a .22 LR. The scope is great and has a mil-dot reticle with red or green illumination, an adjustable objective, easy to use zero locking windage/ elevation dials, and a 4-16 power zoom feature. The gun is a beauty, but weighs between 10 and 15 lbs. The stock is well made, looks convincingly like walnut, and has some cool checkering. This thing makes short work of squirrels. My gun likes beeman crow magnums and benjamin discovery hollowpoints. rws superpoints suck out of my gun and group all over the place. Its a great hunter with the right pellets. i heard the JSB predator pellets are awesome in this gun, but have yet to try them. Alot of folks say the trigger is garbage... i disagree. it is a little sketchy at first, but once it breaks in, its absolutely fine.

Yeah I've looked at this rifle closely in the past and figured it'd make a great hunting rifle once mastered. I myself like mid powered springers (don't do much hunting) but your success with it is definitely something to be proud of. From what I've been reading about it, lots of folks who've purchased it are having a tough time mastering the rifle mostly due to the weight and recoil of the thing. As for triggers, I have found that most of the triggers on the crosman line of springers weren't as bad as people claim them to be (even better out of box than the gamo ones) and with a little bit of a break in, turn out to be nice and smooth.

i agree about the stock trigger, with a little work and a few shots they come in well.
all my stock triggers are smooth and crisp with immediate let off.
